The cover letter If we ask a person to dedicate some time to us, firstly, we have to spend some of our own time writing a trustworthy text. The content, the manner in which we present ourselves, the tone in which we write to the recipient are all elements that are determining factors in deciding whether you will be asked to meet for a face-to-face interview or not. It is important to know to whom you are writing and to describe your competencies, career objectives, and level of motivation when presenting yourself to the company without giving the impression of having written the same letter to dozens of people. When you talk about yourself, it is best to use an unpretentious and straightforward tone and avoid the temptation to distinguish yourself by making exaggerated or unrealistic claims. Excesses are never an indication of style and can sometimes give the impression of a certain degree of naivety. It is best not to take advantage of the reader’s availability by writing a letter of maximum 20 lines. |
